Who We Are

We are Dive Tribe Phi Phi, a scuba diving centre based on Koh Phi Phi Island, Thailand. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why

• Booking & Contact Forms – We collect your name, WhatsApp number, email address, and travel details to manage your booking, provide customer support, and communicate with you.
• Comments – We collect the data shown in the comment form, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
• Gravatar – An anonymized string (hash) of your email may be sent to Gravatar to check if you use it. See Gravatar’s policy: automattic.com/privacy.
• Payments – Online payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our servers (only limited details like card brand, last 4 digits, transaction ID).

Media

If you upload images, avoid embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may download and extract location data from images on the site.

Cookies

• Comment convenience – If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for one year.
• Login & preferences – Login cookies and screen preference cookies may last up to two weeks or one year depending on settings.
• You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.

Comments and booking information may be retained indefinitely where needed for operational, safety, tax, or legal purposes. Registered users can view, edit, or delete personal information at any time (except the username).

You may request an exported file of your personal data or request its deletion. This excludes data we must keep for legal or administrative reasons. To make a request, contact us below.

Where Your Data Is Sent & Stored

Visitor comments and form submissions may be checked by automated spam-detection services. Our site is hosted by Hostinger; data may be stored on international servers and processed where our service providers operate.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults and supervised minors participating in dive activities with proper consent. If you believe a child has provided personal data without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
