Try Scuba Diving – Half-Day Experience in Koh Phi Phi
At Dive Tribe Phi Phi, we’re excited to introduce our signature experience – the PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course. Whether you’re a non-swimmer or trying scuba for the first time, this half-day program is your perfect gateway to the vibrant underwater world of Koh Phi Phi.

First-Time & Non-Swimmers Welcome
No swimming experience? No problem. Our experienced instructors provide full support and guidance to ensure your safety and comfort at every step.
Half-Day Adventure – Two Dives Included
This program includes two ocean dives (max depth typically up to 12 m / 40 ft under instructor supervision). Choose your time slot:
- Morning trip: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Afternoon trip: 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM
~1-Hour Surface Interval
Between dives, enjoy an approximately one-hour break onboard. Relax, snorkel, and recharge.
Small Groups, Personal Guidance
We keep a low student-to-instructor ratio (2:1) to provide personalized attention and a safer, more enjoyable experience.

Food Option
During online booking, you will be asked: “Do you want food on the boat? (Yes / No)”
- The online price includes food by default.
- If you select No, we will refund 50 THB at check-in.
Menu & dietary notes: The menu rotates daily (e.g., fried rice, yellow noodle stir-fry, curry) and is served at random — guest selection is not available. Vegetarian/vegan options are available on request, but please note it is a light meal. Kindly inform us at booking or during check-in if you need a veg/vegan option.
This system helps reduce food waste and supports our eco-friendly operations.
National Park Fee
Please note that the National Park fee of 600 THB per person is not included in the trip price. This must be paid in cash at the ranger’s booth on the pier on the day of your trip. Your contribution helps protect and preserve Koh Phi Phi’s marine environment.
Prerequisites for Participation
- Minimum age: 10 years
- Basic comfort in water is recommended (strong swimming skills not required)
- Good general health and fitness
- All participants must complete the
PADI Medical Questionnaire (PDF)
. If you answer “Yes” to any question, a doctor’s medical clearance is required before diving. - No prior diving experience needed
Important Reminders
- Before your trip: Please visit our dive center for paperwork, equipment fitting, and a short orientation.
- For morning trips: please visit the day before.
- For afternoon trips: please visit by 10:30 AM on the same day.
- Flying after diving: Wait at least 18 hours after your last dive.
- Morning trip: last dive typically ends around ~11:00 AM → safe-to-fly from ~5:00 AM the next day.
- Afternoon trip: last dive typically ends around ~4:00 PM → safe-to-fly from ~10:00 AM the next day.
- Times are approximate; always confirm based on your actual last dive time.

- Camera policy: Under Thailand’s national diving regulations, only divers with Advanced Open Water (or equivalent) or 40+ logged dives may carry/use an underwater camera. DSD participants cannot use personal cameras. Our professional photographers will capture the best moments for you.
